Motorised Outdoor Blinds Transform Stomping Ground Brewery’s Outdoor Space | All Weather Blinds Melbourne
One of Melbourne’s most iconic beer brands required a solution to maximise the use of the outdoor area of their newest beer hall.
Pairing up with proud Melbourne brewers Stomping Ground, All Weather Blinds worked alongside management and their project builders to provide an outdoor blind solution that allowed the venue to create a space that could be used all year round.
Part of the redevelopment of the Phillip Morris cigarette factory in Moorabbin, the Stomping Ground beerhall is one of the most popular venues in the area, boasting large indoor and outdoor areas, with a wide range of beers and food.
By installing motorised Clear-PVC Ziptrak blinds to the Morris Moor Beer Hall, All Weather Blinds delivered a durable, weatherproof blind system that could be easily retracted on warmer days and left down on cool days, blocking all wind and rain to provide a space that could seat over 50 additional patrons.
With remote-controlled operation that allowed for seamless staff use, all of the blinds could be quickly retracted or dropped to transform the outdoor space depending on the weather.
Facing west, the Clear PVC motorised outdoor blinds are in constant sun for the latter part of the day. By utilising a UV-treated marine-grade PVC, the blinds are not at risk of discolouring or deteriorating over time. Powder-coated aluminium frames and hardware with fully enclosed pelmet boxes matched to the structural colourway, provide a durable, streamlined and uniform finish.
All Weather Blinds, with over 25 years of experience in manufacturing and installing outdoor blinds in Melbourne, were able to liaise with project management throughout the course of the build. Working on a tight time frame to have the area ready for the venue, the in-house approach of operating both manufacturing and installation processes meant the blinds were seamlessly integrated with the build progression.
Paired with commercial gas heaters for cool days and nights, the area is just as comfortable as the interior spaces of the venue, but gives patrons the feel of alfresco dining.
The space is now an all-weather area that can be used for private functions or for the public to enjoy a beer and pizza on any afternoon or evening.
